Job Purpose

As HR Advisor you will play a key part in our busy People team, taking responsibility for the delivery of a full range of Human Resources services.

You will support the HR Manager in the delivery of efficient and effective HR support and advisory service to the business by providing first-line contact on all people-related issues consistent with internal processes and legal requirements.  

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assisting and supporting the wider HR team.
  • To provide first-line generalist HR Advice and support on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures, with a view to resolving matters on advice.
  • Maintain systems and processes such as recruitment, fixed term contracts, case management, liaising with management/departments to ensure that paperwork is completed and returned, and providing advice on those processes as required.
  • Arrange and attend informal/formal meetings and hearings, ensuring that all paperwork is accurate.  Take notes at meetings as required.
  • Provide advice and guidance on absence management issues, working closely with managers.
  • Support the job evaluation process, including carrying our job evaluations as necessary.
  • Commission, interpret and convey management information from HR systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • In liaison with HR colleagues, provide advice and guidance on job design, recruitment on-boarding, restructuring and redeployment processes, advising on best practice, procedures and legislation.
  • Coordinating the appointment process for successful applicants, including Company inductions.
  • Providing advice and playing a major role in work review and change processes.
  • Updating and maintaining the HR Information System data.
  • Advising on staff development.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
  • Managing Employee Relations.
  • Providing administrative support, as necessary including compiling HR reports.
  • Maximise all opportunities to develop and nurture new and existing relationships (clients, suppliers, colleagues etc).
  • This list is not exhaustive but covers most of what is expected. You will be expected to perform different tasks as required, in line with Situ overall business strategies.
