Some come with a pin on a map and a note that says: <em>\u201cSomewhere within an hour of here.\u201d<\/em> When two clients in the energy sector needed to house twenty workers in one of the most remote areas of the Arctic Circle and forty in the far north of Scotland, they came to Situ with one simple brief: <em>\u201cFind something that works.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the face of such a challenging brief, Situ immediately swung into action to address the remote nature of the locations, understand the clients\u2019 specific needs, and to help the two teams that needed to be housed \u2013 comfortably and for the long haul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a class=\"gb-button gb-button-49a341ea gb-button-text\" href=\"https:\/\/143495424.fs1.hubspotusercontent-eu1.net\/hubfs\/143495424\/case-studies\/situ-remote-locations-case-study.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download the case study as a PDF<\/a>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The challenge<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Both projects came with logistical complexity built in. In the Arctic Circle, one client needed to house twenty individuals near a site deep in the region\u2019s interior, while the other required accommodation for forty workers in a remote area in northern <a href=\"https:\/\/www.staysitu.com\/scotland\/serviced-apartments\">Scotland<\/a>. Each worker had a twin bed in a shared room with an en-suite bathroom, and the group shared a communal lounge, kitchen, and laundry. The lodge even had a pub on site, which gave the team a place for evening meals \u2013 no small detail when your nearest town might be hours away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In rural Scotland, we found a holiday park offering wooden lodges, not caravans, with enough capacity to house forty individuals in shared two-person units. We negotiated to include towels and tea towels \u2013 something not normally provided\u2013 so there was no need to pack extras or source them locally. The park also offered unlimited vehicle parking and communal laundry facilities, with usage bundled into the weekly rate. Workers were housed in safe, practical, and comfortable accommodation \u2013 right where they needed to be, and with no long commutes or compromise on the basics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an industry that often relies on hotel chains and urban networks, these projects prove that Situ can deliver beyond the typical.
