    1. Torquay Town & Seafront<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Can’t beat a stroll around Torquay town and the seafront! Start at the top of Torquay town (Fleet Street) and head down the shopping street, this will shortly lead you to the harbour. You’ll find some really great independent restaurants, bars and cafes to stop by for a drink and food. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Follow the signs towards the seafront (you can’t miss the Ferris wheel) to wander around the long sandy beach, iconic palm trees, and even more restaurants and cocktail bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Feeling a bit extra energetic? Keep following the South West Coastal Path which will eventually take you to Paignton (approx. 1-hour walk) – another seaside town in the English Riviera with some beautiful beaches. <\/p>\n\n\n

    2. Cockington Country Park<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Cockington Country Park is a free walk by a lovely little village, just a short walk from Torquay town. The perfect place to go for a picnic to enjoy magnificent lakes, gardens, and woodlands. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Cockington Court and Cafe are nearby, along with some quirky creations of local artists and craftspeople. <\/p>\n\n\n

    3. Kents Cavern<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Kents Cavern is a hidden piece of history, used by humankind for thousands of years. This should be on any travellers’ list to do when looking for things to do in Torquay. A truly unique experience, the caves are full of fascinating history, and they go on for ages. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Make sure to book a slot before heading over to your next adventure as it can get busy at times. The guides are professional and very knowledgeable and will answer all your questions about the caves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    4. Ansteys Cove<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Ansteys Cove is quite a small shingle beach, however, it’s peaceful and incredibly stunning. A nice place to visit to escape the crowds. Why not rent a deckchair from the beach cafe to relax on the beach? Who knows, maybe you’ll be lucky enough to spot some dolphins!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This is a great stop if you are planning to walk the South West Coastal Path trail – on the route from Torquay to Babbacombe.<\/p>\n\n\n

    5. Babbacombe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Babbacombe may be one of my favourite places to visit in Torquay. The promenade through the parks is amazing, and the views looking over the sea and cliffs are absolutely breathtaking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Whilst you are around Babbacombe, don’t miss out on visiting the Babbacombe Model Village. One of Torquay’s most popular and visited attractions – representing British life (and humour) and culture over the last five decades all in miniature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Fancy a delicious traditional cream tea? Take a break at Angels Tea Rooms for the classic full cream tea with a wide range of scones, sandwiches and cakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6. Babbacombe & Oddicombe South West Coastal Path<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    If you don’t have time for a long walk, you could always do the 15 minutes walk on the South West Coastal Path from Babbacombe and Oddicombe. There are paths on the top of the cliff which lead down to the beach. If you are feeling less energetic there is a cliff railway available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Free car parking is dotted around the streets if you are driving. Most importantly, make sure you have your camera ready to record the wonderful scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n

    7. Kayaking & Paddleboarding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
