Utrecht Central Station

There are several train stations in Utrecht, such as Leidsche Rijn, Lunetten, Maliebaan, Overvecht, Terwijde, Vaartsche Rijn and Zuilen, but easily the busiest in the city and the Netherlands is Utrecht Centrasl Station.

Centraal is more of a transit hub which has two bus stations, two tram stops and supports the travel of 200,000 passengers every day. All trains running through the city are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS). Train tickets, schedules and route information can be found on the NS website.

Utrecht Buses and Trams

The Sneltram is a three-line tram system that operates across the city, connecting Centraal station with the more outer areas of Utrecht. 30 different bus routes operating in the city are run by U-OV, which is managed by the company QBuss.

Visitors to the city can buy single, day and special day tickets via U-OV that can cover bus and tram journeys across Utrecht for a fairly cheap price.
