Transport

By Air

Toulouse-Blagnac international airport offers over 150 direct flights; the majority on Ryanair and EasyJet. Although some only operate in summer, Toulouse is easy to get to in winter as well. The airport is located 15 minutes away from the city centre.

The T2 line of the city tram will take you to the city centre in 35 minutes for a modest fare. Trams run every 20 minutes until 21:30 and connect you to the city metro, trains, and buses. Tisseo airport shuttle connects the airport to Toulouse Matabiau station and departs every 16 to 20 minutes.

By Rail

There are two different train services in and around Toulouse. The high-speed TGV trains connect the city to Paris and major European capitals. They depart from Toulouse Matabiau, an average train journey to Paris takes 4.5 hours. Conventional Intercity trains connect Toulouse to neighbouring towns and cities like Bordeaux.

Most trains are comfortable, and TGV trains have wi-fi, power sockets, and a café-bar. All train tickets come with an automatically allocated seat, so tickets may run out very near the day of departure. It is advisable to book in advance, as the prices are more flexible as well.

By Underground

The two metro lines of Toulouse interconnect at the Jean-Jaurès station in the city centre. Trains run from 05:00 am to midnight and till 01:00 am on Fridays and Saturdays.

By Bus and Tram

Toulouse is served by eighty bus routes, provided by Tisseo. Some of these routes are seasonal and operate only during the school year, as they take students from the city centre to campus during night hours. The tram service of Toulouse has two lines, connected to metro line C in Arenes station. Trams run frequently between 05:00 am and midnight.
